An important mission of the UNI Physics Department is to provide a community of learners outside UNI with outreach opportunities to empower them to gain and convey an appreciation of the relevance and importance of physics to their lives. These opportunities include those that are formal and structured in nature as well as those that result from the informal interaction between faculty and individuals who desire to learn more about the nature of and opportunities in physics. The formal and structured opportunities are listed below. The informal opportunities could include faculty visits to and presentations in schools, faculty team-teaching in secondary physical science and physics classrooms, on-campus tours of physics research laboratories, addressing a question a student or teacher may have related to physics, etc. If you are interested in any of these opportunities or have a request that you would like to have addressed, please contact us via e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) and tell us what you have in mind. We would be more than happy to try to accommodate your request.
