Photographs of renovation progress: June 13, 2006

June 13, 2006. View of the future new main entrance on level 1—the window straight ahead will become the main doorway to the building. The photo was taken looking down from the old stairs (soon to be moved back toward the outer north wall). The smaller doorway to the right will lead to a restroom. This was PHY 103 (part of the Modern Optics lab).

June 13, 2006. Standing in what was the back of PHY 201 (under the wood platform), looking north through what was the "demo room" [PHY 200A]. The doorway in the far left corner was the entrance to Dr. Dale Olson's office. The space directly in front of the camera will be the new Physics Dept. office (Becky Adams) and across the hall will be the Electronics and Robotics lab. The doorway on the right (to the fire escape) will lead to the new Physics-Lang walkway.

June 13, 2006. What was the Acoustics lab (PHY 009)—concrete dust and the camera flash create the white splotches. This will become the office (far left) and research lab (straight ahead) of Dr. Fred Behroozi (room 001).

June 13, 2006. What was the Modern Physics Lab—and will be Dr. Dale Olson's research lab (room 002)

June 13, 2006. What was PHY 101 (General Physics I lab)—with dust from concrete saws clouding the room. This will be the new 88-seat lecture theatre (room 114).

June 13, 2006. Looking northwest across what was PHY 308 (computer lab). This will become the office and research lab of Dr. Tim Kidd (rooms 302 and 304).
