Photographs of renovation progress: July 11, 2006

July 11, 2006. Third floor. Workmen removing the floor of what was PHY 302 It will be part of the new elevator shaft. Concrete dust reflecting the camera's flash obscures the picture.

July 11, 2006. Ground floor. This was Dr. Paul Shand's office (PHY 004). The floor has been partially excavated to prepare for the elevator that will occupy part of this space. The window in the back will become a doorway to the renovated building's loading dock.

July 11, 2006. Second floor. Looking north across the old stairwell, through what was Dr.Dale Olson's inner office (PHY 202C). These stairs will move north to the outer wall.

July 11, 2006. Third floor. What was a classroom (PHY 309). It will remain as a tiered classroom (room 301), with seminar seating. Concrete dust reflecting the camera's flash obscures the picture.

July 11, 2006. Third floor. Looking south across what was PHY 300 + PHY 301. New faculty offices are framed along the south wall. The area in front of the camera will become room 314 (the new General Physics I studio lab). Concrete dust reflecting the camera's flash obscures the picture.

July 11, 2006. First floor. This was PHY 101 (General Physics I lab). It will be the new 88-seat lecture theatre (room 114). The camera is looking toward the front of theatre. A screen and white board will be beneath the soffit framing you see.
